August is one of special months for Indonesian because this month will be celebrated as a moment to commemorate Indonesia Independence Day. Not only for Indonesian, August is also will be one special month for Martha Tilaar Group, for today, August 15, 2016, through Presidential Decree of Republic of Indonesia No.66,TK/Tahun 2016 about Badge of Honor Bintang Budaya Parama Dharma, Dr.(H.C) Martha Tilaar become one of four receivers of Badge of Honor Bintang Budaya Parama Dharma from Republic of Indonesia President, Joko Widodo.
The Badge of Honor Bintang Budaya Parama Dharma is the highest star honor badge that given by the President to individual, entity, government institution, or organization for their loyalty and dedication to the state and nation. This appreciation based on certain main criteria, such as great meritorious in increasing the state and nation’s culture, and also give sacrifice and devotion in term of culture including local wisdom, traditional values, and art that give beneficials to the state and nation, and/or their sacrifice and devotion are widely recocnized at the national level. In this case, Dr.(H.C) Martha Tilaar received Badge of Honor for her contribution and meritorious in herb and jamu preservarion in Indonesia.
In general, in the granting of Republic of Indonesia Honor Badge event that held in State Court, there are three badge of honor that has been given by Jokowi, called Bintang Mahaputera Adipradana received by General Badrodin Haiti, Bintang Jasa Utama received by Lahat Regent, South Sumatera, Saifudin Aswari Rivai, Bantaeng Regent (South Sulawesi) Nurdin Abdullah, Kulon Progo Regent (Yogyakarta region) Hasto Wardoyo, and Head of BMKG Andi Eka Sakya , and also Bintang Budaya Parama Dharma received by Mangkunegara VI (Alm Raden Mas Soerjo Soeparto), Taufik Ismail, Dr.(H.C) Martha Tilaar, and Achadiati Ikram.
