On Wednesday, May 18, 2016, Jakarta State University (UNJ) with Martha Tilaar Group build another partnershiop to contribute in Innovative Woman Village (DPI) in Tidung Island, Thousand Island. The main purpose of this program are to promote society environtment through their local potencial, and to raise their concern in environmental conservation. Not only that, DPI program also give orientation to women in Tidung Island about the importance of education to every kid from early age.
Tidung Island was chosen as pilot program model that hoped can be replicated to another places in Indonesia, so the benefits can be felt by local society widely. This program also held to prepare the society in the island to get to know and explore their potential in order to bring them profit to increase their standard of living in modern era.
In this program, Martha Tilaar Group through Kampoeng Djamoe Organik (KaDO) – Organic Herb Village- gave a training to all women there about the importance of healthy living, by giving organic and non-organic trash process training, trained how to plant madicine, cosmetic, and herb plants, and how to utilize it, and culinari training using main ingredients from Tidung Island, which are breadfruit and water guava. The event attended by UNJ Rector Prof. Dr. Jaali, respresentation of The Ministry of Women Empowerment and Child Protection Bambang Kritanto, respresentation of DKI provincial governments Usmayadi, and MTG team that consists of the CSR Director Nuning S. Barwa, CSR Manager Heru D. Wardhana, and Head of CSR and Communication Palupi Candra Rini.
