Fun Learning in Beauty Class 2011

Through the decades, Sariayu Martha Tilaar has been taking part in beautifying Indonesian women through a series of Beauty Class. On last Sunday, April 10 it was BMI Taiwan's turn to have the opportunity to participate in this prestigious and knowledgeable event.

Collaborated with IndosuarA as the official distributor of Sariayu cosmetics products, Sariayu Martha Tilaar presents Beauty Class 2011 themed Beautiful Indonesian Women that took place in Cosmos Hotel Taipei Ballroom. Hosted by Ayus and Arry, two DJs from Is Radio, the event began with some greetings from Is Crew. Is Radio icon, Anthony, was also present and participated in the Beauty Class untill the end.



Before the main event, Vonny, a qualified Martha Tilaar Beauty Class tutor team gave explanation on the meaning of beauty, symbolized by Dewi Saraswati figure. Dewi Saraswati is believed to personify a beautiful and educated women.

Described having four hands, each hand of Dewi Saraswati holds a prayer beads, palm leaves manuscript, zither musical instrument and a lotus. With her humor and fresh style of speaking, Vonny explained that women should possess inner and outer beauty. The outer beauty can be seen through beautiful face and body. While inner beauty is the majesty character that radiates through a person's body and soul. Those symbols that creates a perfect women can be found in the four hands of Dewi Saraswati figure. The praying beads symbolize a women has to has strong faith. Vonny gave an advice to all the participants to keep their faith and loyalty to their couple, husband and family while they are working in Taiwan.

The next hand holds a music instrument, Zither, a symbol of a beautiful women that posses good communication skills and manner. Then the palm leaf represents knowledge. "Women should also have high education, not just from school or college, but by participating in events such as beauty class and other positive activities would open our insights," explained Vonny. Last but not least, the lotus symbolizes a women that easily adapts. Lotus flower that could survive in clean or dirty water, expresses a strong women facing the challenges in her life, with a smile on her face in good times nor bad times.

The philosophy of Dewi Saraswati explained by Vonny, seems very suitable for our BMI friends to always look beautiful, not just from the outside, but also inner beauty. Because the beauty of women should also be represented by her attitude and actions.

Entering the main event, is a demo on how to do a proper face cleansing, including tip and tricks on how to face massage and to remove smile wrinkles. All participants that also practices the tips and tricks taught by Sariayu artistic team is now ready to follow basic make-up guideline by Umi and Sri, two professional make-up artist team that is familiar with handling artist make-up that has also joined in a large scale event such as Miss Indonesia, Indonesian Idol, etc.

Using a complete series of Sariayu Martha Tilaar, Sri taught in detail how to apply moisturizer, foundation, how to combine eyeshadow colors, and how to use mascara. The tips and tricks that are taught are very interesting, seen by how serious the participants are listening and practice the lesson learned.

Completing the event, is handing out prizes. After all participants finished their make-up, 3 finalist with the best make-up are chosen. The winner is chosen by make-up artist by going around the participants to judge their make-up result, from person by person. 

Thomas Djorghi with his special dance was welcomed with cheers at the end of the event. This handsome Dangdut singer sang a few Indonesian Dangdut hits single. And he was not just singing, Thomas Djorghi invited six participants to come up to the stage, dancing while singin his hit single, Sembako. Participant with the best dance moves received a special gift from Thomas. The other three participants also received a cool t-shirt from Indistyle. This Beauty Class is filled with prizes and knowledge.

At around 5 pm, the Beauty Class was over. More than 150 participants was getting ready to leave the room. But before they really leave, Dj Arry and Ayuz announced another surprise for all of the participants, that there's a silver and gold ticket prize under their seats. Lucky ones with the tickets, won the chance to have dinner and photo session with Thomas Djorghi that would be published in IndosuarA Tabloid.

Finally, the Sariayu Martha Tilaar Beauty Class 2011 series is completed. With hopes that a similar event could be held, of course with a different theme and improvements that would create a better inspiration and adorable event. Cheers Beautiful Indonesian Women.
