On Thursday (8/08), Puspita Martha International Beauty School held Exam on Stage as part of Jakarta Fashion and Food Festival (JFFF). Took place at the Atrium of Mall Kelapa Gading, North Jakarta, Exam on Stage is a live exam that can be seen by mall visitors and directly judged by the judges, Head of Puspita Martha Pinkan Tilaar, Senior Makeup Trainer Lucia Tan, and two Indonesian Professional Makeup Artist Slam Wiyono and Obby Farhobi.

The participants are devided into four categories: Traditional Wedding Makeup, International Bridal, Hairdressing (Hair Studio & Basic Long Hair), and Photography and Fashion Makeup. During 40 minutes, all students should create perfect makeup and hair do base on the category. Timing, creativity, neatness and hygiene are things to be assessed by the judges. Through this exam, the student expected to show their ability and improvement before they work as professionals in society.

At this opportunity, Slam and Obby who were also Puspita Martha International Beauty School students shared some beauty tips and their career journey in beauty field. “As a professional makeup artist, diciplin is one of all top things we should always do. We used to wake up earlier than everyone, especially when our clients need our service for morning event,” said Slam. “Last but not least, as professional makeup artist we must always remember not to behave like ‘celebrity’. Down to earth is a must because basically we are the one who need our client to earn life,” he continued in his funny way.
