Last Thursday (8/11), Indonesia Fashion Chamber (IFC) Jakarta Chamber and Gran Melia Hotel Jakarta has successfully held Jakarta Fashion Trend 2019 for the first time. IFC is the biggest association for Indonesian fashion designer and entrepreneurs who wants to advance local fashion industry and make Indonesia as one of world fashion centrals. Jakarta Fashion Trend held to celebrate and appreciate Indonesian creative talents, promote the country as fashion inspiration, and encourage Indonesian fashion designer to compete in international and national market.
Jakarta Fashion Trend 2019 presents 2019 trend collection by IFC Jakarta Chamber member that refered to Indonesia Trend Forcast called Singularity. “We hope Jakarta could be Indonesia’s fashion centre. To be the leading edge, we must create and socializing what we have done, we need an event like Jakarta Fashion Trend so public will see how these designers applicate the trend forcasting from Indonesia Trend Forcasting. We also hope that Jakarta Fashion Trend could be a benchmark for Indonesia fashion trend,” said Hannie Hananto, Head of IFC Jakarta Chapter.
There are more than 21 designers from IFC who participates in this event, like Chaera Lee, Neera Alatas, Billy Tjong, Irma Intan, Lenny Agustin, Lia Mustafa, Hannie Hananto, Ichwan Thoha, guest participant Itang Yunazs and many more. All of them presented ready to wear craft fashion, includes conventional and moslem wear that applicate four theme from Indonesia Trend Forcasting 2019/2020, Exuberant, Neo Medieval, Svarga, and Cortex that highlighting local content and its sustainability to global trend.
