Fourty seven years ago, Martha Tilaar Group was built from a persistance efforts of a modest woman who fall in love with Indonesia. From her fighting spirit to start to build a beauty business in 1970, now Dr. (H.C) Martha Tilaar already build business units which support her beauty industry business, from distribution comapany, Toll-In Manufacturing, beauty school, cultural house in Gombong, and jamu village in Cikarang.
As a visionary womanpreneur, what Dr. (H.C) Martha Tilaar has achieved are never enough to fulfill her desire, but will continue to grow instead. At this 47th anniversary of Martha Tilaar Group, she also express her wish that company she pioneered will always consistent in creating innovation and give contribution to Indonesia. “With innovation, let’s promote beauty industry in Indonesia. Don’t let the thought of ‘everything from the west is the best’ control us. We must love local product, appreciate our potency. If it’s not us, who else will?†she says.
Beside innovation, Dr. (H.C) Martha Tilaar also wants to lift Indonesia culture into her creation continously. She encourage everyone in Martha Tilaar Group to have this as their objection too. For her, Martha Tilaar Group should not only beautifying Indonesian women, but also Beautifying Indonesia, in this term to beautify Indonesia in widely range.
