Collaboration between PT Martina Berto Tbk and State University of Jakarta as a Concern towards Woman Empowerment

Last Wednesday, on May 27, 2015, DR. Martha Tilaar came to State University of Jakarta, as one of the speakers in the seminar “Research Based Children Protection and Women Empowerment Program Development to Encountering the Challenge of ASEAN Economic Community”. Held at the Auditorium of Maftuchah Yusuf, Dewi Sartika Building of State University of Jakarta, DR. Martha Tilaar with the Minister of Women Empowerment and Child Protection, Prof. Yohana Yambesi, Ph.D, became the speakers on this national seminar.

If Prof. Yohana Yambesi thinks that assessment and research very important to prove the emergency condition of children protection and women empowerment, then DR. Martha Tilaar sure that the empowering women through education and skills is very necessary. This is related to women’s strategic role in child character building and nation building.   

Before the national seminar has started, PT Martina Berto Tbk also signed the  MoU agreement with the State University of Jakarta in education, research, and community empowerment. This signing was done by Prof. Dr. Ir. Bernard Tirto from PT Martina Berto Tbk and Prof. Dr. Djaali from the State University of Jakarta, and witnessed by DR. Martha Tilaar and Prof. Yohana Yambesi, Ph.D. “By this good collaboration and synergy between both parts, hopefully Indonesia could more advanced, and hopefully this seminar will gives real benefits to Indonesians, especially women and children,” said Prof. Dr. Djaali, the Rector of State University of Jakarta.
